About

What Is The Video Ministry Intensive?
The Video Ministry Intensive is a one day crash course on the important concepts, techniques and equipment of shooting and editing video as it relates to ministry.

Each attendee will receive a 50+ page workshop syllabus which will allow them to concentrate on what is being said and shown rather than frantically taking notes.

This day of training is available for churches and organizations to book and offer as an internal or public event.

How Much Is It?
The cost to have Video Ministry Intensive training for your organization depends on several factors… the travel distance from our Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia location to your location… and the amount you are charging attendees.

Costs based on travel distance (according to Google Maps):

  • 150 kilometers and less – $500
  • 151 – 500 kilometers – $750
  • 501 – 1,000 kilometers – $1,000
  • Anything beyond 1,000 kilometers, or for events which will require airfare, please contact us for more information.

Additional costs based on event attendee fees:
If the training event is being offered free, then no additional cost will be incurred. If your organization will be charging some (or all) of the event attendees, then the following system will be used.

Video Ministry Intensive will charge the amount agreed upon based on travel distance. If the income from attendee fees exceed this amount, the host organization will keep any extra up to and including the travel distance fee being charged by Video Ministry Intensive. Any extra income after that amount will be shared 50/50 by Video Ministry Intensive and the host organization.

If you are bringing in the Video Ministry Intensive as a part of a larger event which includes other trainers and workshops, please contact us to work out a fee schedule.

Who Is Teaching?
Muddy River Media is a non-profit mission organization whose purpose is to provide free, quality media resources for churches around the world. Over the past three years they have given away over 2.5 million dollars worth of media to over 14,000 churches from 147 countries.

The lead instructor is Muddy River Media’s full time missionary, Mark Fogarty, who is also the founder of Open Source Photo Club. Mark spends most of his time either behind the lens of a camera or in front of a post production computer.

Why Is This Event Important?
There is so much creative talent in churches… we want to help educate, equip, and inspire the next generation of Christian filmmakers to serve God with the skill and passion He has given them.

Our desire is that those who attend our workshops will quickly surpass our efforts in proclaiming the Good News through the medium of video.
